In allergy to blame sverhchistota
The journal «BMC Biology» Scientists from the University of Nottingham (UK) have published work, which provides research data confirming the so-called «hygiene hypothesis» of increasing illness from asthma and allergies among modern inhabitants of megacities. According to this hypothesis, proposed by Strachan DP even in 1898, increase the frequency of development of allergic reactions is the reduction of microbial antigen load on the child’s body in relation to the decrease in family size and improvement of living conditions. In other words human immune system is clean trains inadequate manner. As a result, immune cells mistakenly respond to such natural stimuli, such as plant pollens, house dust. And, on the assumption of specialists, a greater role in such training can play a parasite, because the human immune system has evolved in the days when people regularly parasitize a variety of helminths, protozoa, insects and mites.

The scientists compared the immune system of forest mice living in their natural habitat, with laboratory mice, whole generations are being developed in superpure conditions. The experiment showed that in animals infected with lice Polyplax serrata, the immune system works in several times more effective than in mice that are free from parasites. Scientists believe that head lice may have a way to stimulate the immune system of mice – possibly through the transfer of other parasites and microorganisms, or by some substance contained in the saliva of lice and enters the body of mice with the insects feeding on them, the KM.ru.
