The data published in the journal BMC Public Health, showed that in fact people do not think, what specifically is «quality» of bottled water. Moreover, this factor, it turns out, is not a determinant in the choice of a bottle of water in the store.
Ward Lorna (Lorna Ward) with colleagues puzzled question, why UK every year, increasing sales of bottled water and what motivated people, when it chose, the Infox. The team of researchers the University of Birmingham (University of Birmingham), UK, interviewed 23 members of the university fitness center. After reviewing the poll results, Ward said: «The majority of the members of the club, of course, thought that bottled water is somehow beneficial to health, but did not consider its properties as fundamentally different from those in tap water. For the respondents when buying more importantly was the convenience store and the taste of water ».
Bottled water is usually positioned in the sale as« cleaner », than water from the tap, and Manufacturers generally indicate that it is «a more useful trace elements». However, most survey participants expressed doubts about the greater health benefits of bottled water compared with water from the tap, in the belief that the benefits of bottled water actually is, but they are tiny. The main reason for the purchase of water is still a convenience store and transport the bottles.
