Scientists have seen what happens to the brain under hypnosis
Swiss researchers using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRT) showed how changes in the functions of the brain occurs under hypnosis. Until now, the specific mechanisms of action of hypnosis have not been studied.

Researchers from the University of Geneva performed fMRT volunteers who offered to move by hand, with one signal and remain fixed at the other. In this part of the participants under hypnosis warned that their arm is paralyzed, while the rest only to simulate this condition. This was done to compare the brain processes, inhibiting the planned movement, under hypnosis, and without it, the MedPortal.

It turns out that hypnosis is a significant change in the prefrontalnyh and parietal areas of the brain, responsible for attention, as well as functional relationships motor (motor) cortex with other divisions of the brain, the activity of motor systems are not suppressed. In addition, it was found that under hypnosis enhanced activation predklinya – the structure of the brain involved in memory formation, and the perception of man’s own image, as well as changing the monitoring tasks that occur in the frontal portions.

Based on the data, scientists concluded that hypnosis does not affect directly to the motor system of the brain, but passes control to the artificially generated images.
