With fast-food predlanayut fight high prices

Researchers from the University of North Carolina in the United States (The University of North Carolina, USA) came to the conclusion that people reduce consumption of pizza, a sweet carbonated water and other fast-food can with the help of higher prices for these products.
In the course of the experiment, researchers observed the 5 115 people aged 18 to 30 years (at the beginning of the study) as much as 20 years. During this period the price of fast food increased by 10%, which reduced the consumption of sweet carbonated water by 7%, and the consumption of pizza as much as 12%, reports Zdravoe.
Further , the experts found out that even a slight increase in prices helps people reduce the amount of daily intake of calories, lose weight and improve insulin sensitivity. The researchers calculated that raising the price of unhealthy foods will reduce the daily consumption of calories by 56 calories (up to 10 kilograms per year).
Head of research group, Dr. Kiya Duffy (Dr. Kiyah J . Duffey), said: “We believe that raising the price of unhealthy foods to help people adhere to a healthy lifestyle and eat right. Such a financial policy which would avoid the risk of obesity among adults and children alike “.
